Ice Radio, broadcasting from beautiful downtown McMurdo, Antarctica. This radio station belongs to the American Forces Radio and Television System who graciously allow the inhabitants of McMurdo to use the equipment to broadcast live radio shows to the station.
This is an arial view of the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. It shows the new elevated station, the new arches and the old dome and science building. The dome is being dismantled this year and will be reconstructed somewhere as a museum exhibit. There are couple of pictures below of the inside of the arches. [...]
